The Lakehouse on Keowee
Lakefront custom home for a retiring couple with a growing roster of grandchildren. Open great-room living with a vaulted timber ceiling, two primary suites on opposite ends of the house for visiting family, a finished walkout basement with a wet bar, and a covered dock-side dining patio. Tight envelope build with a geothermal HVAC system; the home runs efficiently through Upstate summers and Pickens-County winter cold snaps alike.
The In-Law Suite Addition, Augusta Road
An accessibility-first one-bedroom suite added off the back of an Augusta Road bungalow for an aging parent. Zero-threshold entries, a curbless shower, and a small kitchenette designed for a parent who still likes to cook. Tied seamlessly into the existing roofline; from the street, you can't tell what's new and what's been there sixty years. The interior connecting hallway preserved the home's original heart-pine floors.
The Downtown Renovation, North Main
1920s craftsman bungalow brought up to modern systems while preserving the original interior trim and the front porch's exposed-rafter detail. New kitchen, two new bathrooms, full electrical and plumbing replacement, and a finished basement with a guest suite. Original windows were restored rather than replaced; new insulation work delivered the energy performance the owners wanted without losing the character that brought them to the home in the first place.
The Family Compound, Travelers Rest
Main house plus a detached guest cottage on a ten-acre wooded lot. Open kitchen and great room oriented to a south-facing view, primary suite on the main level, three bedrooms upstairs for kids and visitors. The detached cottage doubles as a home office and short-term rental. Cedar lap siding, copper standing-seam roof on the dormers, and a screened porch that runs the full length of the back of the house.
